FURTHER INFORMATION ON MY AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Drug & Alcohol Issues/Addiction
Anyone can fall into the pattern of problem drinking, alcoholism, addiction, or problematic drug use. This has nothing to do with character or willpower. This is why it is virtually impossible to stop or slow down without support. Yet, stopping or returning to a manageable level is fully possible.
As an experienced professional in this area, I can promise you three things: 1) I will not judge you. 2) privacy is guaranteed. 3) getting back to where you want to be is fully possible.
Drug and alcohol issues often fall across a wide spectrum, ranging from struggling with problematic phase to needing clinical level care. We will work together in determining the best course of action based on your individual needs, wants, and circumstances.
Last, I also offer services in staying on track for people that have freshly attended rehab who need support in staying on the path of your choosing.
Depression, Anxiety, & Trauma
Depression, anxiety, and trauma is often invisible to other people; this can even be true for the person experiencing it. However, these conditions are not to be dismissed or taken lightly. If you experience these it does not mean something is broken in you or that you are defective or have a character flaw or are lazy or any of the other negative beliefs that you may have internalized. And the good news is that these conditions can get better – much better.
Yes, it will take work and the changes are often gradual, but the effort is well worth it. Depression and anxiety can span a spectrum from mild to severe, and usually fluctuate overtime and situations. This can lead to difficulties with family, friends, work, romantic relationships, childcare, and taking care of responsibilities such as paying bills. These issues can turn into a downward spiral of greater depression and anxiety. When inside of this cycle it becomes hard to remember a time when you were ever not like this. Most of the time it takes support from someone on the outside of your everyday life to enable change.
Together we will come up with a game plan to help you to gently introduce some new habits to get you to the place you want to be. As well as, learning tools to better handle difficult feeling and thought when they arise. I will be your ally in making these small doable incremental changes, sometimes encouraging, and motivating. Or sometimes simply listening, empathizing, and accepting where you are at. It is through many years of experience that I've learned discernment so that I know which to do and when. We will get you to a place of vitality, productivity, enjoyment, and engagement in life and connection with the people you love.

2 Wolves Coaching Explained
Unlike most coaches, my sessions are 1.5 hours long and include a 15 minute weekly check-in (as requested). I am extremely attentive to my client's needs and form a close connection with them. I work on both short-term and long-term goals. Coaching is expensive, so it is my intent that every session will be of full value.
I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology, a BA in philosophy, and I bring over a decade of experience from the field of mental health to coaching. Additionally, I draw on a variety of spiritual traditions/ religions, breathwork, art, literature, nature awareness, politics, films, music, and martial arts.
People have characterized me as being highly competent, trustworthy, grounded, gentle, yet forthright, insightful, calming, and heartfelt. I provide a safe container for exploration of private issues, fears, and vulnerable emotions, as well as learning effective new skills. We will work together in setting clear and attainable goals. Further, I will encourage you to give me feedback on your progress so that I can tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs.
